Guide – choose the right food container

Tired of seeing your salary disappear from buying expensive lunches? Or have you noticed that the food you eat at home is healthier than when you eat out? Then food containers can be a sensible solution. When you see our range, however, you will notice that there are many options and the choice may feel a little daunting.

Plastic food containers (plastic tubs)

If you have children, they will appreciate a plastic lunch box for its low weight and durability, so it’s no problem if it bumps around in your backpack while in the park or forest. Plastic food containers are also ideal for everyday life. If you have a bag with a computer and equipment that already weighs a lot, you will appreciate the low weight of a plastic food container. One disadvantage is that it is a bit more difficult to clean, especially when it comes to fatty foods.

Because plastic food containers are so cheap, you can buy many. And it gives you opportunities to simplify your everyday life. If you buy a bunch of cheap plastic food containers, you can cook a big meal on Sunday, for example, which you divide into five containers. Then, every weekday morning, you can place a ready-made lunch in your bag before you leave for work. The practicality is hard to beat.

Cook big meals such as lasagna directly in the glass container, freeze it and take it to work as a packed lunch. How is that possible? Our glass food containers can withstand electric and gas-powered ovens (not the lids). By cooking directly in the glass container, you avoid unnecessary dishes and save time. Glass food containers and glass jars with lids are less resistant to impact, making them unsuitable for children’s outings, for example. However, as we have mentioned, they have several advantages. If you are looking to save time, prefer to cook in the oven, and like stylish food containers, then we recommend glass containers.

Stainless steel food containers

A stainless steel food container is both stylish and pleasant to eat from. It weighs less than a glass food container and is significantly more durable. This makes it suitable to take along both on a camping trip and to the office. It is also easy to clean from the most stubborn food stains. A stainless steel food container is not particularly cheap, but you’ll get a food container that you’ll be happy to have, carry, eat from, and wash.
