How to choose the right plugs for your project

When choosing a plug, you should make your choice based on the following factors:

• Material. There are plugs for different kinds of materials:
  Universal plugs for plasterboard, concrete, hollow brick and solid stone.
  Screw plugs are plastic plugs for brick, concrete, and other solid materials.
  Wood plugs are mainly used to attach two wooden boards or similar to each other.
• Size. The size of the plug should be chosen based on the type of screw you are using. You must also consider the weight of the object you will hang up. For plugs 6 mm or less in diameter, you should choose a screw that is 1 mm smaller in diameter than the plug. Larger plugs often require the screw to be 2 mm smaller in diameter. The plug should be 5-10 mm shorter than the screw.
